Situated at both the Millthorpe Motel and Angullong Wines cellar door, the chargers are what are known as destination chargers, offering a top up rather than a full charge for motorists such as Marcin Teisseyre.
After his family decided that a new car was needed, Millthorpe based Mr Teisseyre purchased a Hyundai Kona after carefully considering the options, including a Tesla.
"We thought that it makes sense to make the transition from fuel to electric and the Hyundai is much more affordable than the Tesla," he said.
One other decision point is the availability of suitable charging stations for each type of vehicle, with a VHS versus Beta style battle going on between the manufacturers.

"Tesla have their own sockets as do Nissan," Mr Teisseyre said, "This one here though is more the VHS version."
Using an app on his phone Mr Teisseyre can plot out a trip throughout NSW with very few issues, pointing out the three different kinds of charges that are available.
"There are home chargers that will take 24 hours from empty, destination chargers like this one at Angullong or the motel and the fast chargers," he said.
"These destination chargers will give a vehicle about a 50 kilometre range in an hour of charging whilst the fast charger will give you 80 per cent of a charge after 30 minutes."
With the number of electric vehicles coming to the village increasing, both businesses offer free charging for their customers.
And therein lies one of the other advantages of the charging stations for motorists like Mr Teisseyre, the ease with which the payment and the price of charging is made.
"All payments are made through an app and the most I've paid is about $16 for a charge at an NRMA charging station," he said.
For the sponsors of the charging station, Cadia Valley Operations, the Angullong charger will help boost tourism.
"We are excited to support Blayney Shire Council and the Millthorpe village with the installation of an electric charging station as part of our Community Partnership Program," a spokesperson said.
"This charging station is one of three that we have supported across the region in a collaboration with Blayney, Cabonne and Orange councils to add another element to regional tourism for our villages in the central west."
