The Blayney Agricultural and Pastoral Association president Phil Nankivell said that it was an honour to have won the Presidents Innovation Award.
"I'm absolutely delighted," he said. "I thought we might be a chance when we were nominated, but to come out as number one is very special."
Nanks, as he's known by all, joined the show when he left school in 1963 and has been president since 1983.
"I really love doing what I do," he said. "I've never questioned why I do it and I'll keep on doing it for as long as I can."
For the secretary of the Blayney A&P Rosemary Reid, it's Nank's willingness and openness to new ideas and innovations that has seen the show grow and also secured the Innovation Award for the young farmers programs.
"Nanks is a big supporter of all things with young people and agriculture," she said.

"Organising the youth programs was a really big thing to do because it takes a lot of coordination, work and costs including setting up the extra cattle panels and yards."
Coordinated by Meagan Dunford who is both the cattle steward at the show and a project officer at the Department of Primary Industry in Orange, the innovation award is recognition of the importance of encouraging young people into farming and securing the future of the show.
"Meagan organised all the judges and programs that the students from around the district all used and it's a great idea because it brings a whole lot of people into the show scene," Mrs Reid said.
"There's a growing interest in it too which is a great thing for Blayney."
Blayney A&P have received $3,500 as part of the Innovation Award which was shared with Mungindi Show for their Header vs Picker Derby.
Not only did Blayney win two awards but the Woodstock Show won the Resilience Award for putting their show online for the first time.
