As a youngster Alicia Gersbach loved checking out the utes at the Blayney Show, but when she got her licence and bought her own ute, the ute competition was no longer a part of the show.

Rather than just whinge about it though, Alicia stepped up and at the age of 19 began organising the ute and classic car sections of the show.
Now at 25 Alicia is one of the powerhouses behind the show, injecting masses of youth, enthusiasm and ideas into the event.

"Without a doubt the ute show and classic cars are the most enjoyable parts of the show," she said, "Everyone involved is really friendly and love being a part of it."
When she's not organising the four wheeled attractions Alicia can be found in the equestrian area, getting the four legged modes of transport sorted.
"I'm the ringmaster at the show so look after the harness racing, finding the judges and making sure all the competitions run smoothly on the day," she said.
"It's the most challenging part, but again everyone is really helpful and we all get along because we're dealing with horse."
Unfortunately the quick shear event, which was a highlight of last year's show, won't be back again in 2021.
"We don't have time to get that organised for this year," she said. ""But it will be run again in 2022."
