Early Learners join Lee Hostel for regular fun and games

Blayney Early learners have always been regular visitors to Lee hostel however after the success of the ABC's Old People's Home for 4 Year Olds, the two centres are going to increase the frequency of the visits.

Administration assistant at the centre Shannon Fishlock said that residents at the hostel really enjoyed having the kids there.

"The residents really do get a bit of a light in them," she said.

The activities usually involve some sort of mess and noise, but Ms Fishlock said that it's most welcome.

"They usually play with some play-dough or do some painting with their hands or with a brush, she said.

"And there will be Smarties everywhere and mess but we really enjoy having them here."

Childhood educator Ami McPaul said the infants loved visiting the residents.

"They just love getting on the bus with their bags and travelling to the hostel," she said.

"They always seem to go straight back to the same resident and they've bonded so well with them all."

'We'll certainly like to see them here more often," Ms Fishlock said.
