The Lee Hostel is currently undertaking major renovations to the site. The residents rooms, all with private bathrooms are being refurbished and modernised. All bathrooms are being replaced, rooms freshly painted and new flooring is being put down. Air-conditioning is being replaced throughout the facility with all resident rooms, common areas and offices now being individually controlled. The reception, hallways and some common areas are being updated with all walls rendered and painted, new flooring and updating of fixtures and light fittings.

The Lee Hostel has recently purchased more resident bed licenses and as such have engaged local architects Sue and David McGregor to project manage a major upgrade to the site. We will see the addition of another wing to the facility adding ten more resident rooms with private en-suites, a complete revamp of the kitchen and dining rooms and the addition of a Clinical/Doctors room, a hairdressing salon, a new Administration/Office wing and the extension of the site car parking. The upgrade to site will also see the addition of a media room, upgraded library and outdoor facilities that will enable families and visitors to spend time with the residents outdoors.
Special mention to Lee Hostel President Sharryn Kearney and General Manager Darren McLeish for their persistence in pursuing with the renovations and the new extension.
