We've gone from freezing cold nights of around 5c where the winter doonas are dragged back out of the cupboard, through to mini cyclones blowing the roof off buildings and leaving parts of the shire without power for almost 24 hours.
This Christmas Day though it's going to be very average indeed.
A top of 26c is forecast for Blayney on Christmas Day with only a gentle breeze from the south west expected.
The mean maximum temperature at Orange Airport, which crazily is where the Bureau of Meteorology get their Blayney data from, for December is 24.9c.

The highest temperature of 38.9c was recorded on December 21st 2019 and the lowest, 0.0c, was on December 7 2013.
These are only the statistics from the airport which has been operational since 1996.
Although there is always the chance of an unexpected shower during our mountains summers the wettest December was in 2010 when we received 319.2mm. The driest was in good old 2019 when we received 15mm.
Enjoy the sunshine because on Boxing Day there's every chance it will rain once more with afternoon showers predicted.
