Across the Western NSW Local Health District (WNLHD), there are 24 new COVID cases in total: 16 in Dubbo (11 in Wellington), four in Cowra, and one in Narromine - plus the cases for Cabonne and Blayney.
On Monday, Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that travel within NSW and community sport will resume once 80 per cent of the state (aged 16 and over) have been fully vaccinated. This was expected to happen in mid-October. The state is expected to hit 70 per cent double dosed on October 11.
Up to 8pm, last night, there were 787 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19, while 12 people had died with the virus - who were mostly from Sydney.
After NSW hits the 80 per cent (aged 16 and over) double dose vaccination target, eased restrictions will allow those who are fully vaccinated to have up to 10 people visit their home, participate in community sport, and access hospitality venues (where drinking while standing up will be allowed indoors).
All premises will operate at one person per 4sqm indoors, and one person per 2sqm outdoors.
"I know people are counting down the minutes until we reach 70 per cent double dose and the freedoms that will provide, and today we are providing further certainty by announcing the 80 per cent roadmap and future settings," Ms Berejiklian said.
From December 1, further changes will be introduced including all venues moving to the 2sqm rule, masks will not be required indoors at offices, indoor pools and nightclubs can reopen, and unvaccinated people will have greater freedoms.
