Whoever thought up this idea come on this is ridiculous please have common sense we love our town as it is. Barbara Donlan.

Sadly most people can't parallel park, and the subsequent manoeuvring would hold up traffic and cause frustration. Not in favour unless there is to be a truck bypass. Very much against one way traffic in Farm Lane leading to Bernardis. This would force all traffic coming to the supermarket into the Adelaide St CBD area and cause congestion at the Ogilvy St/Adelaide St intersection. Janet Power.
The Main Street is very country style and relaxing as it is. It has plenty of parking and easy access to the shops the reason people drive through as I've observed is no where to have a nice cuppa especially of a weekend. We recently moved to Blayney because of its country charm and friendly people. Barbie Meehan.
So we cut off traffic and parking in Blayney so no through traffic will stop. Reduced parking spots????? Why???? Our main st is absolutely beautiful as is DO NOT WASTE good money on ruining our street. Look at Cowra's and how it has virtually kiiled their traffic because of the changes. Spend the money elsewhere maybe on a business that will open on the weekends to sell coffee, breakfasts, takeaways and local produce to travellers. Jo Hill.
45 degree reverse parking is so awesome! Why do councils in regional areas keep wanting to change it? Darcy Gardia Harrison.
Won't be long the footpaths will be wider than the roads. Adam Hornby.
Just do something with the main street it looks pretty dilapidated as it is. Greg Tolhurst.
I don't understand the need for bike paths but I do like the concept of more trees and space to have outdoor dining. A nicer looking street scape will encourage business growth and people stopping instead of just driving through. Michele Hunt.
I would love to see the brief that was given to the company that made them reach this design. I love the main st as it is, but obviously someone has some vision in mind, so would like to know how they framed it. Jill Flinders.
What a ridiculous looking plan that does not seem to incorporate a country town feel instead trying to make it look like what a city firm thinks country people should want. Rebecca Scott.
Bike paths, we're on here ladies. If they could include more bins with a roll of bags for dog poo we might not have to dodge land mines the whole time! Jess Bird.
Seems the main thrust is to slow down traffic. What's the data on incidents of traffic accidents involving pedestrians? Craig Bratby.
Is this a joke? We are a small country town, not a big city. Our main street is lovely as it is. The footpath is attractive, wide enough for people to walk along without a problem, and I think it's accessable for people in wheelchairs . I think our rates can be used for something more important. Janet Furner.
As one of those 'outsiders' I think that Adelaide Street could only be described as 'Drab'. There's nowhere to sit and chat, the trucks go screaming down before getting to the one poorly placed pedestrian crossing and the main road is difficult to cross at both intersections. As for parking, I've never seen it full of cars, ever! Not even when they had the vintage car shows last year. Besides, these are just concept plans, concepts! Pick the best bits, add some others. Get involved! Sharon Polson.
I think this is a ridiculous idea. Leave the main street alone and have its country town feel. Other towns have done these types of changes and it has killed off trade. Parallel parking wastes so many parking spaces. I am sure the money could be spent on more pressing projects. Trish Baker.
What a waste of rate payers money..im glad its only a concept. The main street is a B-Double route. I would like to see the pencil pushers try to navigate trying to turn a b-double on to orange road from adelaide st. Making it narrower will only increase the potential vehicle and pedestrian interactions, especially with a bike lane. So the extra parking behind the crt and the chemist?? Are they going to kick the people out of their home that live between these 2 premises? Clearly there are people who dont have a clue and are in awe of some flashy pictures in a computer model. Jared McCormack.
