Thousands of residents have been turning up in droves to get that all important jab which is a vital part of the roadmap back to returning to a relatively normal way of life.
I really want to give a big shout out to everyone who has been involved in making these vaccination hubs become a reality and that includes the volunteers, our local health teams, the Police, Council and the Australian Defence Force.
With both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca doses available at local vaccination hubs and no bookings needed, I want to emphasise that this is a great chance to get the jab which should not be missed.
The Bathurst Super Vax Week Hub continues for the remainder of the week at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre before wrapping up on Saturday afternoon and then moving on to the Lithgow Vaccination Hub which will be open from September 12-14.
With travelling to get vaccinated regarded as a legitimate excuse to leave your home, I thank the residents from Blayney who have also had the chance to access the hub that has been set up at the new DPI building in Orange at 105 Prince Street which is open until this Sunday, September 12.

I have been working behind the scenes with authorities for several weeks to help make this happen and now all we need is for the people from the wider Lithgow community to turn out and get vaccinated.
It's also pleasing to know that vaccination hubs visited the township of Rylstone last weekend and Kandos on the Monday.
Remember, anyone can receive a Pfizer vaccine if you aged between 12-59 years while AstraZeneca is for people aged 60 years and over.
Bring some form of identification and where able, your Medicare card.
Thanks everyone for helping do the right thing.
We are all in this together and by getting vaccinated we can reduce of the chance of catching COVID-19, and if that does happen also reduce the chance of becoming very sick or dying as well as passing the disease onto other people.
