What's easier is getting down to the Blayney Community Centre on Friday morning to grab your own three free trees to plant in your garden.
As long as your soil isn't water-logged, winter is the perfect time to plant native trees and shrubs. With their roots established they'll take off once Spring eventually arrives.
Blayney council's supervisor of parks and gardens Brian Parker said that the mix of trees, shrubs and grasses are all suited to the Blayney region, with many of them endemic to the area.

"We have the White Gum eucalyptus viminalis, eucalyptus melliodora which is the Yellow Box and casuarina cunninghamiana or the River She-Oak in trees as well as acacia dealbata and acacia rubida or Black Wattle and Red-stemmed Wattle in the shrubs," he said.
"There will also be lomandra and dianella in the native grasses."
Trees are limited to three per person and the Planet Ark Tree Planting day that was scheduled for last Friday has been moved to Spring to allow for local students to participate.
The trees can be collected from between 8am and noon on Friday or until the allocated trees are all gone.
