Emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident near Fitzgeralds Mount just after 10am on Monday, assessing and treating the 18-year-old, male driver on site.
He was transported to Orange Hospital shortly afterward, suffering head and neck pain along with a laceration to his left foot, but was in a stable condition.
Traffic was affected in both directions and the highway was closed for a short period after the crash as the vehicle was recovered and cleared, however as of about noon it was reopened both ways.
