As the president of the Blayney RSL Sub-Branch he's been behind the marches for many years, but he's extremely concerned for the future of the branch, and for the future of the ANZAC day parade in particular.

"We have 17 members of which only six are active," he said.
"And last Saturday our secretary / treasurer Bob Webb died so we're in a real dilemma at the moment."
Age may not weary them, but the future of the sub-branch is one in which some youthful exuberance would really make all the difference.
"We especially need younger people interested in joining and helping us organise the two main events and some of the other things that need doing," he said.

Mr Rendell said that the idea that you have to be a service member to join simply isn't true, anyone can join one of the three types, and become a part of the committee.
"The first type is the actual service person who can join automatically and become a full member, then there are associate members which is one that has a family member that was in the services, or in the third someone who is recognised by the sub-branch as being a useful member," he said.
"As an associate member the related service member didn't have to serve either, they just had to have joined either as a national serviceman or in one of the services.
Mr Rendell said that being an active member wasn't an arduous chore either, but a very important one.
"They only have to turn up for the meetings, help out if we have a funeral, help organise ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day and generally be part of the RSL movement like selling the Legacy badges this Thursday, Friday and Saturday," he said.
With the sub-branch's building recently being repaired and restored the committee would like to see someone who has a keen eye on grants and fundraising to join.
And as Mr Rendell said, membership is easy.
"If you're interested in joining, just give us a call, we'll be able to find somewhere for you."
