Central Tablelands Water has dedicated the Blayney water treatment plant administration building to former Director of Operations and Technical Services, Darrell Sligar, who sadly passed away in late 2019.

The building will be named The Darrell Sligar Centre.
During the dedication service held on Wednesday morning his brother Robert Sligar said that the dedication was a wonderful reward for a life well lived.
"He was an honest, straightforward person and it's great to see so many of his workmates here," he said.
Thanks to his 43 years of service, Darrell was instrumental in implementing a range of services and improvements across the network and he was highly regarded and respected in the industry for his extensive knowledge and expertise said the general manager of CTW Gavin Rhodes.
"Darrell had an incredible ability to problem solve any water issues that arose with innovative solutions provided," he said.

"He was first and foremost a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a great mentor and confidant to his CTW family."
Inside the building there is another plaque detailing Darrell's work and achievements over the four decades he worked at CTW.
Counsellor David Somervaille, chairman of CTW said that it was an honour to be a part of the event dedicating the building to Darrell's good name.
"His dedication and commitment to CTW and its consumers over a 43 year period is an astonishing achievement, leaving a lasting legacy for years to come," he said.
