Recent data released by Blayney Shire Council quantifies the 'cars on Osman' observation with a 327 per cent increase in fitness memberships alone since the first day of management by the Y in late August 2020.
More than 25,000 visits have been reported at CentrePoint over that same period.
Not only are Blayney's residents getting stuck in within both functional fitness areas, they're dipping their toes in the water in a big way, especially the kids.
The centre has seen a 118 per cent increase in learn to swim enrolments since The Y took over operations and YMCA Area manager Shane Simmons said that payment options and structure are the key.
"The Y has experienced significant growth in the learn to swim program at CentrePoint and currently delivers lessons and squad training to more than 600 children per week," he said.
"The introduction of flexible direct debit payments as well as a new structured program delivered by our talented swim school team has contributed to this result."

The Y though aren't resting on their laurels and in 2021 have plans to expand their offerings.
"Initiatives such as family fun days, community outreach and engagement, support our seniors and more youth activities will be looked to be rolled out in 2021," Mr Simmons said.
