With 22 shops open for business and seven food outlets tending their wares, the historic village is bound to be a popular shopping destination.
The buildings along Pym Street will be draped with the colourful baubles adding a distinct Christmas feel to the village over the following weeks.
Business owners, bracing themselves against the cold, were on hand on Tuesday morning to help string up the lights off the verandahs of the buildings.
One team diligently screwed in the LED lights whilst the other draped them over the buildings.
Also every gift purchase over $10 at participating stores will go in the draw to win one of three $100 gift vouchers to a participating local business of your choice. The more you shop, the more opportunities you have to win.
