UPDATED: A four-hour siege in Blayney has come to a peaceful end after police negotiators managed to talk around a 40-year-old man who had barricaded himself inside an Ogilvy Street property.

Chifley Police District commander Superintendent Peter O'Brien confirmed the siege came to an end around 2.15pm after negotiators were able to get the man to come outside and turn himself into police.
Supt O'Brien said the man has been wanted by police in relation to an alleged domestic violence incident and serious traffic offences.
"He was tracked down by police in Blayney and then barricaded himself inside a unit," he said.
A perimeter was established as police negotiators called in. The man surrendered to police about four hours later.
Supt O'Brien said the man was inside the unit by himself and once he surrendered to police he was arrested and taken to hospital for a full assessment.
Police remain at the scene as investigations into the incident continue.
UPDATE: Police have apprehended a man and he is currently being assessed for medical treatment by paramedics at the scene in Ogilvy Street, Blayney.
Traffic is slowly being allowed back into the area.
EARLIER: Emergency services have been called to Ogilvy Street in Blayney with police negotiators talking to a person inside a residential property.
Access to the area has been blocked off.

Parents at the nearby Blayney Public School and Blayney Pre-School were notified of the incident.
Special conditions have been put in place to allow parents and guardians access to collect their children from the school and pre-school.
One parent, who asked not to be named, said he was told there was no threat to anyone in the vicinity.
Fire brigade, paramedics and police are currently on the scene.
