Footy fans of either of the major codes across Australia will catch a glimpse of Blayney during the finals series thanks to the filming of a television advertisement in town this week.
Made for The Bottle-O group of liquor stores, owned by the Metcash Group's ALM Liquor, the ad features the owner of one of the independently operated stores walking to work, and greeting the community on his way.
Created by marketing company Chanel T, Blayney was chosen for what the company's managing director Lisa Ramsey described as its "Australian feel."
"We wanted a location that really displays that feeling of community and friendliness that a place like Blayney represents," she said.
"The ad is all about the community, how they all love their independent liquor store owner and how he interacts with them."

On Tuesday morning the crew was filming the main actor, a 30's something man with a long beard and a bald head walking along the footpath on Osman Street, just opposite CentrePoint.
The shoot also contained a breakaway shot to two extras who nod appreciatively as he walks past.
Although the town won't be identified as Blayney, twelve different locations have been chosen around town including a main street scene shot just outside the court house featuring extras dressed as firies, and the oval of Blayney High School.
Also included are shots of the owner interacting with a cricket team and a choir singing in a park.
Ms Ramsey said that although they could have scouted a few locations around Sydney, Blayney had a distinct advantage.
"There are fewer cars to manage when filming somewhere like this and a lot less people wandering around," she said.
"Also the streets here are really beautiful."
The crew though may have been enjoying some fine crisp sunny weather on Tuesday morning, however the rain on Wednesday and Thursday has not helped, particularly with continuity.
"It doesn't help if it changes from sunny to rainy on his way to work," Ms Ramsey said.
The general manager of ALM Liquor Josh Gaudry said that the ad will be a feature of the football finals.
"They'll be appearing during the finals at the end of October," he said.
Casting calls were made in the weeks prior to the filming of the ad.
