It wasn't the perfect weather for netball on Saturday, the rain was coming and going and at times the surfaces were slippery which proved to be very challenging for our Blayney girls!
Our team of 13 and 14 year olds are playing up in the 16A's division, took the court against the Superstars Thunder who were the more precise and physical team on the day and ended up overall winners.
The Blayney/Panthers team didn't give up for the whole game and at times showed glimpses of why they can mix it with the best.
We look forward to the rest of the short season with the team sitting just outside the top 4!
A great effort so far for our young team.
A big thanks to Taylor Hobby for coaching the girls again this season.
Blayney Panthers Go
It was a wet weekend but the rain stayed away just enough for our Blayney Panthers Go team to take to the court against Nova Galaxy.
Whilst the girls didn't come away with a win it was not reflection on the effort they put into the game.
We saw some great defensive work from Bella Miskell, Eve Folpp, Tully Howarth and Grace Hadlow throughout the game, showing a big improvement from the first to the final quarter.
In attack, Mia Nixon, Tully Howarth, Marley Ryan and Grace Hadlow displayed wonderful team work when we had the ball in our possession.
This week Eloise Davis showed great sportsmanship and helped out the transition team by playing up.
To help our team out Addison Ryan and Daisy Folpp played up for us.
They both had a great game and became valuable members for our team.
Thank you to all the girls for helping out.
The girls should be very proud of themselves as every week we are seeing a huge improvement with them all individually and as a team.
A big thank you to our coaches Ruby Hewitt and Hope Henry.
