Now though thanks to a $8,500 grant from Cadia Valley Operation's Community Partnership program, visitors to the Blayney Health service will be able to rest back and have the swab taken in comfort.
The hospital has purchased a treatment chair that Health Service Manager Kathy Hillier says will make all the difference, and not just for COVID-19 testing.

"The chair reclines all the way back and also goes up and down," she said.
"When it's not being used for testing it can be used for any number of treatments that come into the emergency department.
"This will allow us to get the patient into the right position so that we can test them correctly and easily here in the fever room."
CVO also donated funds for a contact free infra-red thermometer to check the temperature of visitors.
