Great cooking though needs a great kitchen and the one in the building of the Millthorpe CWA was in need of repair to bring it up to current standards of safety and hygiene.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole and Blayney council's deputy mayor Alan Ewin visited the ladies of the Millthorpe CWA to have a look at the plans and announce that the Drought Stimulus Program has awarded $15,000 of funding towards the new kitchen.
Councillor Ewin said the project will be very valuable in the community.

"The CWA hall is well positioned in the village, close to all its facilities and accommodation services so the enhanced catering facilities will enable the CWA meet the needs for catering and small conferences in Millthorpe" he said.
The hall is currently used for community meetings and public functions and with the upgrades will be better suited to be used as a conference venue for meetings and catering for functions for up to 50 people.
