A driver was trapped inside their car when it collided with another vehicle on the Mitchell Highway on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services attended the scene at around 3.50pm and were able to free the driver from the vehicle.
The driver received medical attention, it is unknown the extent of their injuries.
West bound traffic was diverted around the crash which had occurred near the turn off into Millthorpe.
Police were still diverting traffic through Spring Hill to avoid the scene at 6.30pm.
Central West Police District Sergeant Jason Barker said forensic services were still on scene just before 7pm.
Sergeant Barker said traffic diversions were expected to stay in place until after 8pm, as an investigation was underway.
