Garden Ramble Committee president Lyndall Harrison said gardeners had fought on despite the withering drought bringing on water restrictions and low water reserves.
"We got some spring rain just about the right time, but they're holding," she said.
"It'll be lovely, we got six millimetres of rain over the weekend and they're holding on."
Mrs Harrison said it was "wonderful" to see a variety of old and new gardens in the 2019 Ramble, while each garden would have a version of 'Spotto' for children, while the Cammarygal Wind Symphony had also volunteered to play for an hour at Tremearne, garden number nine.
Tickets are available for $25 - children free - and can be brought online from trybooking or from the HQ at Millthorpe Public School.
Tickets can also be purchased in the city centre booth or at any of the open gardens.
