While most of the cattle and prime lambs were over at the Australian National Field Days, entries in all other sections of the show were strong and Carcoar Show treasurer Sally Green said the show went "very, very well".
"Kids all had a good time, it went very well socially and we were lucky to have beautiful weather," she said.
A petting zoo, panning for gold, comedy stage featuring the balancing man and live music were all set up for punters to enjoy, while the hotly contested Blokes' Cake competition had 14 entrants.
The much-coveted title was won by Ed Hogan, with school student Henry Bright in second and Mark Logan third.
Home product entries were judged by Sophie Hansen who provided the recipe for the feature exhibit which was won by Vanessa Knox of Errowanbang.
President Mark Richardson was presented with an award from the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW for his outstanding service given to the Carcoar Show Society by Andrew Gee MP, who opened the show.
