Under the cover of the centre, work is ticking along with the child's pool being extended, the dividing wall between the middle pool and the main pool removed, the changerooms being gutted and the path and edge of the main pool slowly being removed.
With $1.9 million invested in the $3.89 million project, member for Calare Andrew Gee joined Blayney councillors for a tour of the project for a progress report.
Mr Gee was particularly impressed with improvements to accessibility for the entire community.

"Accessibility will be significantly enhanced through the installation of a new pool pod, which will drastically improve disability access to the 25 metre pool," he said.
"Plus the construction of an access ramp to the middle pool and the new unisex accessible toilet facilities which are also family change rooms."
Director of Planning and Environmental Services Mark Dicker said that the children's pool would include a water tower that has four slippery dips.
The construction though means that the pool will be closed over summer, a situation that general manager Rebecca Ryan said simply couldn't be averted.
"There was never going to be a good time to close the pool," she said.
"The risk of incurring significant additional cost if we delayed the project until after summer for another 9 months, and the requirements of the grant monies to be expended by June 2020, were all considerations for council."
