The annual event will have plenty of events for children, giving them the chance to climb through the fire trucks, wear firefighting gear and see the hose in action.
Punters will also be treated to tours of the station.
There will also be two demonstrations of how to put out kitchen fires, to be held at 11am and 1pm, to show how to extinguish oil fires and to show why you should never turn your back on the stove while cooking.
Station 227 Blayney firefighter Casey Dixon said there would be "a lot on" for people of all ages, with information on hand for parents and adults who want to learn more about fire safety, while Fire and Rescue NSW is also recruiting.
Information will be on-hand about fire safety in the home, including how to install and maintain smoke alarms and how to develop a home escape plan.
The open day will run from 10am to 2pm at the Fire and Rescue NSW station in Blayney.
