With entries now closed, Bullride Head Steward, Lance Bonham, said they have received some solid entries. "We've got good numbers for the different categories including Open Bull, Novice Bull and the carious age groups for the steer rides," he said. "There's plenty of experience between the riders so it should be a close contest".
The stock for the Bullride will be provided by Running Stream's L&M Rodeo Company and Lance said the crowd are in for a treat. "The stock have been on the rodeo circuit with a few bulls going close to claiming Bucking Bull of the Year, so the crowd will get a great show and the riders will certainly have their skills tested".
It's getting into the business part of the season for riders, with the Royal Bathurst Show Bullride forming part of the Southern Zone Circuit, and competitors will be riding for points in the hope of competing at the National Finals in Tamworth.
