The agricultural students at Blayney High School are looking very much the part nowadays as they successfully take on other schools, both private and public, in shows across the central west.
The school has three cattle on loan from Errowanbang Murray Grey Stud and ex-student Declan Haines also runs workshops with the kids teaching them the ins and outs of showing.
Ag teacher Rachel Crofts said that the students have been training the heifers for a few months, and Blayney Show was their first ever experience showing livestock.
"Errowanbang stud won a few ribbons at the show, and our kids also spent the day helping with the other stud cattle," she said.
"Our Corriedale sheep did very well, claiming champion and reserve champion ram and ewe, and champion interbreed group."
