This year the Carols will be beginning at 7:15pm on Friday the 14th of December and as there are every year, the entertainment will come from our very own local students.
Blayney Rotary Club will be setting up their popular BBQ and all people need to bring along is a blanket and a voice ready to pipe out a few classic carols.
Book your seat for free lunch
The organisers of the Churches of Blayney Shire and Blayney Shire Council Community Christmas Lunch are encouraging those who wish to be a part of the free event to book a spot before Friday December 14.
Organiser Shirley Howarth said that pre-booking will help the organisers get an idea of exactly how much food they would have to source from their generous donors.
Reserve your space by calling Vinnies on 6368 2636 or the Blayney Information Centre on 6368 3534.
Bright Lights to shine some more
When it comes to great Blayney traditions, the annual Bright Lights of the Blayney Shire is one that really enjoys great popularity.
This year the competition is expanding with a special Christmas ornament competition beginning.
All you have to do is create an ornament that is no larger than 15 centimetres high and wide and can be hung from the tree.
There is a limit of one ornament per person and they have to be clearly marked with the entrants name.
The tree is situated in the foyer of Blayney Shire Council and there are prizes to be won.
Entries for the ornament competition close on Tuesday December 18.
Entries for the lights close on Monday the 17th of December and judging will be taking place on Tuesday December 18.
