Do you like giving friends and family a unique gift where you know the money raised will go towards a good cause?
If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions it will be a big ‘yes’ when you see the amazing Christmas pop-up shop that Inner Wheel in Blayney are setting up this weekend.
The store will be popping up in the front room of Inner Wheel member Lyn May who said that the majority of the gifts are made and designed by the members, making them all unique.
“Except for a few very nice statuettes that have been donated, all the decorations and gifts have been made by our members,’ Mrs May said.
The shop is to raise funds for our two major projects, Cord Blood Research (Inner Wheel Australia's National Project) and Kiseru Nkera Initiatives (KINI) which supports and educates underprivileged children in Kenya.
There will also be tea and coffee available as well as colouring in and letters to Santa for the kids.
The pop-up shop will be situated at 5 Palmer Street, Blayney on Saturday 24th, from 10am until 4pm and Sunday 25th, from 12 noon until 4pm.
Cook up a storm at Bernardi’s
As part of the Healthy and Happy Wellness Challenge every Thursday afternoon the Blayney Chronicle and Bernardi’s MarketPlace will be presenting some delicious cooking demonstrations.
Using inexpensive yet healthy ingredients, home cooks Sophie Reynolds and Mark Logan will be using the same ingredients, but cooking completely different meals that are easy, cheap and healthy.
There will be two sessions, one at 4pm and another at 5pm and at each session the pair will be cooking their own recipes of family favourites.
This Thursday the main ingredient will be good old mince with Sophie making Mexican quesadillas and Mark will be making Greek style wraps.
