For those that are old enough to remember the Tooth’s beers such as KB and DA, a new online collection of the Tooth’s hotels in the Blayney Shire has bubbled to the surface.
Even for those that don’t enjoy a tipple, the images are a fascinating insight into the history of the hotels, and the communities that used them.
A project from the Australian National University (ANU) Archives has brought the history of Blayney and surrounds online for the community to enjoy.
The ANU Archives has a new online exhibition showcasing the history of Tooth and Company, a significant New South Wales brewer, and the many hotels it owned and supplied throughout the state.
Now owned by CUB, the Tooth’s brand either owned, or supplied, all the pubs in Blayney and those in Carcoar, Lyndhurst, Neville, Newbridge and Millthorpe.
This exhibit is available online along with a special interactive map, providing access to valuable historical information, as well as incredible photographs.
The ANU Archives has access to additional images and records on most of the hotels.
