His father Peter Wilson will be taking on the duty of starter for all the adults races and he said that Will has been practicing on a regular basis.
“Every afternoon he goes out and gives it a few cracks,” he said.
Organiser of the Carcoar Cup Running Festival Andrew Baulch said that the numbers were looking good for another record event.
“We’re already 60 more than last year and we’re expecting somewhere between 700 and 800 runners,” he said.
Blayney Community Christmas lunch
Volunteers are needed for the next Blayney Community Christmas Lunch to be held at the community centre on Sunday the 23rd of December.
The food is donated by local businesses and made and served up by the public and has been reprised after a break of nearly a decade.
For those needing a hearty Christmas lunch, the meals are free.
The next meeting is on Monday 12th November at 6pm in the Catholic Church for anyone who would like to help make the day another resounding success.
For those wishing to sign up for a free lunch a list will be available at the Blayney Visitors Centre and at Vinnies.
Neville Show November 10
The Neville Show is bringing something new to this year’s show in the name of Full Tilt Jousting Australia who will be at this year’s show and rather than displaying their jousting skills they’ll be demonstrating some horse archery.
Riders will be taking aim at targets whilst on horseback and it’s sure to fascinate young and old.
