A portrait workshop with the well-known artist and tutor Lesley O’Shea from Portland was held on Wednesday at the Newbridge Hall.
Eight artists attended and all pronounced the day an outstanding success.
A pottery workshop with well known Bathurst Potter, Louise Ranshaw is to be held this Saturday and participants are looking forward to having some fun with clay and developing their creativity to produce some amazing pieces of clay art.
Golf Club Christmas in July
Blayney Golf Club is having a Christmas in July dinner dance on Saturday July 28.
Cost is $40 per person and includes the feast and entertainment.

Newbridge Winter Solstice
To really brighten up your winter come out to the village for an afternoon and evening of fun.
Held this year on Saturday, June 23 from noon, Newbridge will take on a medieval market day look, with market stalls, Morris dancers in the street and the occasional sword fight to keep everyone entertained.
In the evening at sundown on the shortest day of the year, the bonfire will be lit and the “Wicker Man” will go up in a shower of sparks, taking midwinter with him.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea – May 24
Blayney Shire Can Assist Branch will host Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on the 24th May 2018 at the Blayney Community Centre at 10.00.
All proceeds go to the Cancer Council.
Homemade cakes and slices will be served with tea/coffee at a cost of $5.00 per head.
There will be a raffle and lucky door prizes, and everyone is welcome come and join them.
