Their introductory challenge was to use only recyclable materials to design and create a costume, item of clothing or personal item that served a function to make life easier.
Boxes, milk cartons, aluminium foil and soft drink bottles were all employed to create some exciting outfits.
Teams had a 10 minute time limit to construct their outfits and then enjoyed sharing and modelling their designs.
The students of Blayney Public School also ushered out the Year of the Rooster and welcomed in the Lunar New Year with a special and colourful parade of Chinese art and culture for the Year of the Dog.
