On Australia Day she travelled four and a half hours to Moruya on the south coast to take on the tricky circuit down there.
Never having raced there before, Sarah soon found herself liking the track and finished her three heats with a 2nd place and two 3rd places.
The feature race was a hotly contested race with the first three drivers fighting all the way to the finish.
Sarah was one of those three drivers and finished a very pleasing 3rd for her first attempt at the track, but her weekend wasn’t finished there.
On the following day, Sarah and her family travelled to Nowra, another track she has never raced at before, where
On what was a very wet and difficult track she chose to start all of her heats from the rear of the field and finished a commendable 4th in all three heats.
She then tackled the feature race and after giving it her all, she finished a very credible 8th place out of 12 cars.
“All the drivers were really good to me” she said,
“They gave me so much support and advice and I really learnt a lot from running with them, it was great”.
Sarah will be racing at the next round at the Cullen Bullen Raceway on Saturday 24th February.
