The club can now afford to purchase two of the three-tiered grandstands for the recreational facility thanks to funding from the state government.
With $2,643 being available thanks to the Community Building Partnership (CBP) fund, those hardy supporters and families of the children will be able to sit in comfort right on the sideline.
Bathurst MP Paul Toole said that soccer is more than sport for the community.
“The club has nearly 100 players from under 16’s down and provides an avenue for youngsters to enjoy what is one of the most popular sports in the region,” he said.
Rod Corbett from Blayney Junior Soccer Club said the seating would be very much appreciated by anyone attending matches.
“The good this is they are portable which means we can move them to wherever the action is,” he said. “It’s another great step forward for the club.”
