It’s sat vacant for over 60 years, but the old corner store in Newbridge has been renovated by its owners and the venue is now known as the Olde Bridge Gallery.

To be officially opened by Mal Eutick, the gallery features works by photographer Wendy Smith, oil paintings by David Lake, handmade recycled timber furniture by Russell Dawson, pottery by Catherine Phillips, Rebecca Price’s silversmith jewellery and a selection of Dapper Chocolates.
The gallery opening is from 5.30 – 7.30, Saturday November 18.
Millthorpe’s Village Picnic
On Saturday, 18th November Millthorpe Public School, Millthorpe Village Committee and Community Sporting Clubs have planned a combined event on the newly refurbished Redmond oval.
The Village Picnic is planned between 12pm – 4pm, with a free BBQ and an afternoon of fun for the family.
Local entertainment is provided, you can bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy.
Hats and sunscreen are recommended. The school and museum will also be open during Saturday.
Win $30 voucher at the Markets
Visitors to the Blayney Farmers’ Market this Sunday will be able to shop for free just by filling out a form when they come to visit the markets.
On entry to the markets visitors fill in the form and include their mobile phone number. Every hour the committee will draw a number and the person will be contacted on their phone.
They will have ten minutes to get to the market to claim their prize and spend $30 at any of the great stalls.
Twilight Bowls
Last Friday afternoon a big crowd of bowlers turned up at the Blayney Bowling Club to raise money for Blayney Junior Cricket. Everyone enjoyed their afternoon with many new bowlers having a go on the greens. This Friday the 17th the fundraiser will raise money for the Cancer Council.
