The Blayney Golf Club will be holding a Christmas in July feast at the club on Saturday July 29.

Kicking off at 6pm the cost is $35 per head and includes a Christmas feast of Turkey, ham, pork and seasonal vegetables.

For dessert there will be plum pudding, of course, as well as trifle and mint chocolate bark.

The brand new concrete bridge across the Coombing Creek on Felltimber Road is now open to all traffic, including truck that once had to make a diversion.

Road Safety Officer, Iris Dorsett, with the assistance of Authorised Restraint Fitter Michael Baker, recently conducted a free child restraint check day in Blayney and is delighted with the results.

Of the nine child restraints that were presented for checking, five required minor adjustments which involved the installation of gated buckles, and one out of date restraint was detected.

“Most were compliant, with only minor adjustments being performed,” Ms Dorsett said.

“It is a very pleasing result. People took the opportunity to access this service and it’s wonderful to see that in the majority of cases, restraints are correctly fitted and our little ones are being transported safely.”
