At the beginning of the day’s proceedings, President Elizabeth Tooke had the pleasure of inducting two new members into the club, Bev Delaney and Lyn May. It is a great joy to share the friendship and ideals of Inner Wheel with more of our local women.
Then it was over to the organisers, Lucy Needham and Robyn House, who had put a great deal of effort into providing an informative and fun program. Lucy gave us a history of our School of St Jude sponsored child, Daniel, who has now reached grade 8.
The Inner Wheel District A50 Clubs have been raising funds to complete Daniel’s sponsorship to the end of his secondary schooling. The third ideal of Inner Wheel is to foster international understanding, so after lunch Robyn led us in a quiz about some of the countries in the International Inner Wheel circle of friendship.
