A great turnout of more than 40 young skateboarders attended the free workshop run by Totem Skateboarding School, a Sydney based skateboard coaching and community events organisation.
The workshop was funded by Blayney Shire Council and organised by the Blayney Town Association’s, Blayney Skate Park working party.
The future Tony Hawk’s of Blayney discovered how to perform kick flips, get some air and perfect the skill of hands down, as well as a few other useful skateboarding tricks, at the Youth Week event on Wednesday last week.
The working party also collected gold-coin donations and ran a sausage sizzle at the event to help raise funds to build a skate park in Blayney.
