POLICE from Chifley Local Area Command are preparing a brief for the coroner following the death of Orange man Damien Mattick earlier this month.

Between Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11 Mr Mattick was riding his Honda CBR600 motorcycle on Millthorpe Road.
At a bend in the road coming in to Blayney the 33-year-old rider hit a guard and fell from the bike.
In the afternoon of Saturday, March 11 the bike was located. Details of the bike were taken and an investigation commenced.
About 8.30am on Sunday, March 12 emergency services returned to Millthorpe Road and commenced a search.
Mr Mattick’s body was found in bushland over the guardrail and down an embankment.
A crime scene was established and was examined by forensic specialists.
Officers are now trying to piece together exactly when Mr Mattick came off his bike and how the crash occurred.
The bike has been described as orange and black in colour with ‘Repsol’ graphics on both sides.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have seen Mr Mattick riding his bike on Millthorpe Road, or has information that could help police, should contact Bathurst Police Station or Crime Stoppers.

Crowson St - A temporarily vacant property has been broken into and an antique sewing machine stolen. The theft occurred sometime between March 12 and the March 23 when it was discovered missing.
