The School’s Clean Up Day is on this Friday and K-1 teacher at Blayney Public School, Cassie Smith, said that the younger students would be helping around the school, while some of the older students were going further afield.
“Some of the year five and six students will be heading to Carrington Park to help tidy up around there as well,” she said.
Clean up Australia Day is this Sunday, March 5. To sign up to help out in our region, head over to www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au
Kelly’s Kitchen now open
The Exchange Hotel has a new cook in the kitchen with Kelly Morrissey taking over.
Originating from Sydney, Kelly and her family have made the tree change to Blayney to realise her long-term dream of becoming a chef.
“I’ve been in training all my life but I’ve always wanted to be a chef and when we came to town I walked in and offered my services to Jo and she said yes,” she said.
Kelly will be offering daily specials as well as $15 lunches that include crispy pork dumplings and poached chicken and noodle salad.
