At the Regional Championships we had George and Daisy Wakem and Megan Fraser representing the club with some fantastic results.
George managed to finish with six medals for the day and also numerous PB’s.
Daisy took home three medals as well as lowering some PB’s whilst Megan, having her first hit out for the year, also did well and also posted a couple of PB’s.
At the Mountains and Plains Championships, which stretch from Parkes, Forbes and Cowra all the way to Glenbrook, we again had Daisy and Megan flying the flag for the club.
Daisy again excelled with numerous medals and PB’s and Megan doing her best to keep the points rolling in for the club’s points score.
Although the club only had two swimmers in attendance they certainly made up for lack of numbers with their efforts over the weekend, finishing with well over 100 points to come in 13th in the club point score, and that’s with some other clubs having up to 40 swimmers attending.
Well done girls.
Blayney Dolphins hold a club night every Wednesday night from 6 till 7pm during school terms, so come down and have some fun, race against others of the same ability, join in on the relays, make some new friends and also get fit at the same time.
The club runs all year round and if you can swim 25m you can jump in and have a go.
