The gorilla, which was proudly display in Mary Williams' front yard on Adelaide Street, was stolen a number of weeks ago before it was found, torn to pieces, in the Blayney Wetlands.
The gorilla had been an attraction for many people passing through Blayney, with people often stopping on their journey's through, to get their photograph taken with the figure.
Young local children through to Bathurst racegoers all admired Mary's gorilla statue before it was stolen overnight in a thoughtless act.
Mary owns many beautiful ornaments but the gorilla was the centrepiece to her display.
Naturally, she was heartbroken somebody stole and destroyed him.
"You put a lot of work into making your garden nice and people go an do that to you," she said.
"It's not right. It's just plain vandalism."
