Preparations are well under way for Newbridge's second Winter Solstice Market Day and Medieval Festival on June 20 from 12 noon until late.
The road will be closed in the middle of town, and stallholders will line the roadway with stalls selling all types of goods, from candles to concrete statues and plants.
On Gladstone Green, next to the hotel, there will be blacksmithing demonstrations, fighting medieval warriors and other entertainment, while "The Perthvillians" will play behind the hotel in the afternoon, and "Chicago Fix" will continue on into the night.
Should be a great day, so tell as many people as you can to come on out for a fun time.
Lots of food will be available and the bonfire in the evening is sure to be a success.
The Newbridge Progress Association will cater for the Moorilda School reunion on Sunday so any help from members would be appreciated as a large crowd is expected.
Please ring Jan (63681185) if you can give a hand.
Sandra and Richard Retallack have worked very hard to organise this reunion and I am looking forward to seeing old school friends and visitors from far and wide who are returning to the area.
Next Monday May 25, there will be a meeting at the Village Hall to hear Blayney Shire General Manager Rebecca Ryan speaking about the future plans of the Blayney Shire Council.
The meeting will start at 6pm.
Please attend if you are able. Hot soup and rolls will be provided by the Progress Association.
