The Blayney Shire village was one of 28 spots in NSW chosen to be included in a feature in Australian Traveller magazine and one of only two places in western NSW alongside Oberon's Mayfield Garden that made the cut.
"Little-known Carcoar’s National Trust Village" was nominated for the list by international freelance travel writer Rob Dunlop.
“It’s a National Trust village with beautifully preserved homes, buildings and churches,” Mr Dunlop told Australian Traveller.
The magazine said of Carcoar: "If you feel like getting away from it all, this could be your spot".
