In a game played in very muddy conditions the Blayney boys were able to record a solid 31-5 victory.
The Rams were first to score when Anthony Salmon took a well-timed intercept and ran 40 metres to score under the posts which Brendon Newstead easily converted.
From the kick-off Blayney found it difficult to get out of their own half due mostly to the thick mud and the strong breeze.
West Wyalong were eventually able to crack the Blayney defence and score out wide after a good run from their flanker to make the score 7-5.
Blayney were able to record a further two first half tries through Brock Syphers and Timmy Jamieson, both tries came off the back of dominant set pieces from the Blayney forwards.
Newstead was able to add the extras on one occasion to give the rams a 19-5 half-time lead.
The second half was an arm wrestle between the two teams, with neither side producing very much flowing rugby.
Jamieson opened the scoring in the second half courtesy of another strong Rams driving maul to score out wide.
Newstead was rewarded with his own try late in the second half after another strong performance by the winger.
He was also able to convert from a difficult position to bring up the final score of 31-5.
Best and fairest points were given to forwards, due mostly to the slow nature of the game and the heavy conditions which made it very difficult for the backs to show off their class.
Tino Saena picked up three points with a strong performance, Jack Ryan picked up two points and players' player and Brock Syphers was awarded one point.
This week Blayney make the long road trip to Condobolin for the battle of the Rams.
