Frederick was cremated at Penhall's Memorial Chapel in Orange on March 28, 2012, conducted by Reverend Alan McAnulty with an apology from Rev Anastasia from the Blayney Parish.
He was born in the old home at "Fernside" Garland, the third child of Ern and Rose Bloomfield.
Fred was a much loved husband to his wife Valerie, the daughter of the Carcoar school Principal.
The couple met in Carcoar married on February 15, 1950.
Fred's siblings were Ken (deceased), Muriel (Dubbo), Winifred (Engadine), Alan (deceased) and Betty (Lyndhurst).
Together, Fred and Valerie had four children, Arthur (deceased), Cheryl (Page) of Garland and Alison (McDermott) of Garland, grand children and great grandchildren.
He lived all his life on the property "Fernside" which he loved.
He was very close to his father who taught him all he knew, plus all kinds of skills of management that came his way.
He was a very good machinery repair man and cleared a lot of the property.
He was a fine wool and commercial Hereford producer, and later a fat lamb producer.
Fred was one of the Garland men who helped get the Garland School bus service running.
Money for the service was raised at public functions in the area and donations.
Even today, the Garland School bus does two runs per day - one to Lyndhurst and one to meet the other bus that goes to schools in Blayney.
Fred was President of the Garland School Bus group for approximately 30 years, which still gets isolated children to school today.
He also helped build the tennis courts at the Garland School.
The school has now been moved to Lyndhurst after it closed.
Fred was also President of the Carcoar Pony Club for four years in which time they had a pony camp at Coombing Park in the shearers quarters.
Thanks went to Audrey and Hewitt King, a lot of the children in the Carcoar district would remember that and the parents did the cooking and helped out everywhere. A wonderful time was had by all.
Another time he showed the children how to play Polocross.
He was ill at that time but was on his horse to show them how it was done.
Fred was also a much valued member of the Garland Bushfire Brigade.
He attended his first fire on February 14, 1944, after joining the brigade in 1942.
Fred was elected Deputy Captain in 1964 before being elevated to Senior Deputy Captain in 1969, then Captain from 1973 until he retired from that position in 1992.
Also became permit officer and president of the brigade in 1973 until October 1996.
During his 54 years of service to the brigade, Fred spent 32 years in senior office positions.
Fred is held in high esteem by his fellow brigade members and the Bushfire organisation in the Blayney Shire.
He joined the Masonic Lodge in Mandurama and was initiated on January 3, 1988 and installed as Master September 5, 1964.
He was 54 years in masonry.
He reached the rank of Past Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies on June 12, 1996.
He also joined the "Order of the Secret Monitor" and was installed as Supreme Ruler of the Lachlan Valley Conclave No. 5 on March 5, 2005.
They had a "Lodge of Sorrow" in the Orange Lodge and a Christian and Masonic service at Penhall's Chapel in William Street, Orange.
Fred had a long battle with kidney problems. and his family wish to thank the specialists and staff of the Mater Hospital at Crows Nest for their special care of him.
His family also expressed their appreciation to the doctor and staff at Blayney Hospital, for the caring for Fred in the final days of his life.
Fred's family also wish to thank District Nursing Staff who came to his home on various occasions and provided wonderful love and care.
They also thanks Fred's very special Dr Whitmill of Orange, who was with Fred all the way.
The family wish to thank all the people who sent messages of love and sympathy to help through the very sad time as not all addresses are known.
