Neville bushranger re-enactment shoot

The scrub of Neville will host a re-enactment of Ben Hall's bushranger gang this Sunday for a photographic shoot to feature on the cover of a history book local Craig Bratby is penning. The book focuses on John Vane, who grew up in Neville, and was part of Ben Hall's gang in 1863.

"They robbed influential locals at Caloola, Carcoar, Cliefden, Coombing Park, Grubbenbong, Flyers Creek and beyond," he said.

For the photo shoot, local lads in period clothing with firearms and horses will play the part of the gang members, said Mr Bratby.
