The results of a recent store survey highlighted that store customers had concerns with the size and number of spaces available. IGA manager, Mr Geoff Bottom addressed this problem by enlarging the width of the existing spaces and increasing the number of allocated spaces from 2 to 6.
Access Committee chairperson Cr Scott Ferguson said that IGA Blayney is a great example of how important it is for businesses to provide safe and comfortable access to their customers who have mobility issues and as such improve their shopping experience.
The Access Committee will be focusing their attention on working within the local area and also with Blayney Shire Council to address access issues. They are keen to work with businesses and community agencies who may be interested in improving access to their premises and services.
The Access Committee consists of Cr Scott Ferguson, Cr Alan Ewin, Dennis Dury, Tanya Wills, Iris Dorsett, Anton Franze, Jenny McMahon and Betty Wilson.
Should you have an access issue you would like to bring to the attention of the committee, please contact a committee member either privately or Blayney Shire Council.
