Mr Grant played in five Tests with the Wallabies and toured with them in 1988. The following year he switched codes to play with Balmain and was a try-scorer in the losing grand final against Canberra in extra time.
Zac Farr is the junior winner for his selection in the NSW CHS lawn bowls team and wins a $50 voucher from Blayney Newsagent.
The senior winner is Sophie Stammers for her triumphs and selections in rugby league and wins a $50 voucher from Blayney Pharmacy.
Ben Emms wins the veteran award for winning the Queensland Queens in rifle shooting and then selection in the Commonwealth games. He wins a $50 open order from Kinghams butchery.
The league tag girls win the teams award for success in the last 12 months in rugby league and receive $50 from Steve Howarth Home Maintenance.
Rochelle Millthorpe was awarded the volunteers award for her huge work load in organising the state championships at Lyndhurst Team Penning and she receives a $50 voucher from Blayney’s Magic Comb.
Tickets for the sports awards dinner are available from Newman’s Service Centre in Adelaide Street.
